A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
Principia College, located on 2600 acres of land on the bluffs of the Mississippi River, became a National Historic Landmark in 1993. The core (built) campus is 100 acres. In addition, the property features 2500 acres of wetland, native tall-grass prairie, and mature oak-hickory forest. Forestry practices and products are FSC-compliant (certification has expired). Three Rivers Community Farm is a 12 acre chemical-free CSA (vegetable farm) located on Principia College property; it provides volunteer and internship opportunities for Principia College students and the CSA serves the surrounding community.
