A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution, including how each program addresses the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of sustainability:
There have been three sustainability-focused study abroad programs (Iceland 2012, Finland 2016, New Zealand 2018) - and one (Tanzania) approved for Fall 2022 (source: http://content.principia.edu/abroads/). In addition, the Center for Sustainability offers intern/externships and independent study to deepen students' changemaker skill sets in a variety of fields, including energy and emissions auditing, renewable energy fundamentals, permaculture design, land/species conservation, sustainable purchasing, and sustainable business practices. The college maintains an apiary and green roof, both student-led, that offer skills training during the academic year, as well as during breaks.
