A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

Surveys are routinely sent to all Principia employees asking for feedback regarding their employment at Principia. In addition, private focus groups facilitated by an independent organization are held to better address and meet issues that employees might bring to the table.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation (including examples from the previous three years):

Human Resources at Principia does a thorough job of not only meeting the needs requisit to employee satisfaction, but going above and beyond, helping to make employees better prepared to do their jobs both here at Principia and elsewhere should they move on. For example, when managers provided feedback that they felt they needed help in managing their staff, Human Resources responded by creating a 3-day management training program facilitated by an independent organization. Participants engaged in a 2-week hands-on period to practice their new skills. After the 2-week period, participants were able to bring what they had experienced and learned back to the classroom for discussion.
