The Office of Student Life focuses on all aspects of student life, including diversity and equity. In the case of students, alleged Principia Community Commitment violations are referred to the Dignity and Defense Program which is comprised of Restorative Justice and Community Board processes (this excludes sexual harassment charges which are referred to the grievance process adviser). In the case of faculty and staff, issues of diversity and equity are handled by the Department of Human Resources, with grievance procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.

A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:
There are no cultural competence trainings per se, but Principia offers a wide range of activities to promote awareness and acceptance of other cultures. These activities include, but are not limited to: -ELL (English as a Learned Language) program -Black Student Union -LAZOS (Latino club) -Layad (Asian club) -Half the Sky (Women's issues) -Friendship Around the World -A wide range of course offerings, including Global Studies, History, Sociology, Woman's Studies, and Political Science -The Euphrates Institute Chapter ("raising awareness, eliminating bias, and promoting tolerance and love for Middle Eastern culture and people") -Dean's Time: panel of international students to educate the faculty about cultural differences -Whole World Festival--celebration of the beauty expressed in other cultures while encouraging community cohesiveness by embracing differences. -Abroad groups learning about other cultures in country -International Perspectives Conference -Mentoring: new international students receive a mentor to help them adjust and feel welcome to the USA and Principia College -New International Student Orientation: cultural adjustments -New Employee Orientation: raising cultural awareness
