Narrative:
Principia College is located on 2600 acres of land on the bluffs of the Mississippi River. 2400 acres are wetland, native tall-grass prairie, and climax oak-hickory forest. Forestry practices and products are FSC-certified. Three Rivers Community Farm is a 12 acre chemical-free CSA (vegetable farm) located on Principia College land with membership drawn from Principia's faculty and staff, as well as hundreds of members from the surrounding community. The farm provides volunteer and internship opportunities for Principia College students. The campus is located one hour north of St Louis and became a National Historic Landmark in 1993.
