Has the institution conducted a survey or other evaluation that allows for anonymous feedback to measure employee satisfaction and engagement during the previous three years?:
Yes

Percentage of employees assessed, directly or by representative sample:
62

A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

Princeton uses the staff engagement survey to evaluate employee satisfaction based on several questions designed to reveal staff engagement and satisfaction (among other things). Reviewers evaluated text responses to open-ended questions on what employees liked best and what they liked least about working at Princeton. The survey was anonymous, and answers were suppressed if the response rate wasn't large enough to assure confidentiality. 62% of benefits-eligible employees participated in the 2024 survey.

The survey can be viewed here: https://ir.princeton.edu/survey-data/survey-questionnaires

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:

The senior leadership has all been informed of the survey results. Within the past three years all units have established “Unit Planning” committees which are tasked with creating a more inclusive and diverse environment for the employees in their units. Several units have established newsletters to help their employees stay informed and remain engaged.
