The Seed Farm at Princeton is a multi-year collaboration between Princeton University Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and multiple community partners. The project focuses on growing rare, culturally significant seed crops amd is located on 3.5 acres at the Stony Ford Research Station This initiative brings together students, scholars, and community partners to explore the intersection of heirloom plants, mutualism, and ecological repair. The project seeks to bolster the University's relationships with land, plants, and people, fostering a collaborative learning environment where seeds are cultivated and researched from planting through harvest.
Key partners in this endeavor include the Experimental Farm Network, Munsee Three Sisters Medicinal Farm, Native Roots Farm Foundation, the Ujamaa Cooperative Farming Alliance, and the Utopian Seed Project. These collaborations support the farm's educational and research activities, which are shared through various academic and multimedia platforms.
