A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:

In summer 2024 the Office of Sustainability and Human Resources launched a sustainability orientation video for all new hires at Princeton. The video is included on the new employee onboarding checklist and serves as a welcome and invitation to get involved with the Sustainability Staff Ambassador program and the Sustainability Newsletter. The video also provides an overview of the University's sustainability initiatives and points toward resources for futher reading.

Additionally, within their first month of employment all new employees receive an email invitation to get join the Sustainabiliy Staff Ambassador program and newsletter. These outreach efforts project to increase staff participation on sustainability initiatives and allow for progress on Princeton's commitments around waste, greenhouse gas emissions, and purchasing.
