The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Recycling Awards program recognizes businesses, local and state government agencies, organizations, and individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of recycling in New Jersey. These awards not only honor those in the state who are going above and beyond, but they also serve as an inspiration for others to do the same.

Office of Sustainability Director, Dr. Weber currently serves at the Chief Sustainability Officer on the Board of the New Jersey Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability (NJHEPS). She served as past President from 2014-2016.

Dr. Weber currently serves on the Board of Sustainable Princeton.

A brief description of the mentoring relationship and activities:

Extensive multi-institution data gathering has been conducted for several years with the Ivy+/Listening Post collaboration. Evidence-based best practices are shared and advanced to senior leadership with the objective of collective accelerated impact across multiple institutions in key decision areas such as renewables investment strategies, institutional organizational accountability for sustainability, and net zero carbon strategies.

The Sustainability Communicators network is a collaborative community hosted by Princeton University’s Engagement and Communicators Coordinator, connecting sustainability staff who oversee Communications. The network hosts quarterly calls featuring best practices and case studies as well as a listserv that anyone can join.

Additionally, the Campus as Lab Community of Practice is a collaborative community co-hosted by Princeton University, connecting Campus as Lab practitioners (or aspiring practitioners) and other interested staff, faculty, and students. The Community of Practice hosts interactive monthly webinars featuring case studies, best practices, tools, and other topics of interest to the practitioner community. The Community of Practice also makes relevant resources available via a Google Drive, http://tinyurl.com/CampusAsLabResources.
