The Chief Diversity Office led an assessment in Spring 2021 using the DEI Maturity Index. The Index survey was designed by and for higher educations institutions and was developed with five key needs for DEI at HEIs: 1) Communication and Education; 2) Assessment; 3) Culture; 4) Investment and Infrastructure; 5) Compensation, Recruitment, and Retention

The assessment was used to establish a baseline audit of Prescott College's progress in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Results of the assessment are now being used to guide improvements described in the Racial Justice, Equity, and Inclusion Action Plan.

The Racial Justice, Equity, and Inclusion Action Plan, which was guided by the results of the Maturity Index assessment, is attached under the "optional" documentation. Currently, a policy is being created to promote more inclusive hiring practices by training various committees on such practices.
