We are not pursuing this credit. The reality is that our waste bills do not differentiate between waste and recycling pickups, so we have no way to tell how much we divert from landfill with any reasonable accuracy. This credit has shed an important light on some of the systems we have in place and the steps we need to take to improve for future years. In fact, it inspired us to host a service event for MLK Day where we performed our first campus waste audit as an initial data point.
