Students must respond with a level of "agree" or "disagree" for the following sample prompts:
I support large corporations that try to help the environment
I am willing to buy fewer products to reduce my environmental impact
I am willing to travel less to reduce my environmental impact
I care about the well-being of my peers even when I am having a difficult day

Students were also asked about their awareness of sustainability-related resources and support available to them.

A brief description of how representative samples were reached (if applicable) and how the cultural assessment is administered:

The survey was open from September 2021 - December 2021. The Sustainability Coordinator advertised the survey by visiting a dozen classrooms and asking students to complete the survey, though it was not made a requirement, and there were no incentives offered for completion. In addition, the survey was sent to all online students by online program directors; again, no incentives were offered. In total, only 71 students completed the survey.

A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment:

63% of students are aware that Prescott College hired a Sustainability Coordinator who can support student projects relating to sustainability.

52% of students are aware of the Sustainability Fund which can be used by any student to financially support their sustainability projects.

Students were asked to vote for three Sustainable Development Goals that they felt were most important to work on at the college and local community. The top three listed were Climate Action (47%), Quality Education (38%), and Good Health & Wellbeing (38%).
