A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution:

Prescott College has offered a total immersion semester in Regenerative Ecological Design through our programs at the ECOSA Institute for the past five years. This Spring semester has a four course structure with opportunities for hands-on learning in the context of field travel, individual design exercises and team-based applied design projects in service to clients.

The courses offered in the Spring 2022 immersion semester are:
1) Psychology of Spaces: How the Places We Inhabit Affect Our Lives
2) Creating a Sustainable World: Strategies for a Positive Future
3) Resilience, Planning & Ecology in a Changing World
4) The Shape of the City: Ecology, Psychology & Envisioning the Future

Moreover, some select students are contributing to a new, comprehensive Campus Master Plan for 2022. The project is intended to enhance the student experience of Prescott College. It will provide an environment and activities that encourage students to make more use of campus facilities and enliven the social atmosphere. It will also be an example of ecological adaptive reuse, enhancing the natural environment within and around campus, while providing an opportunity to position the college as a sustainable school that demonstrates its commitment to the environment.
