Does the institution own or manage land that includes or is adjacent to legally protected areas, internationally recognized areas, priority sites for biodiversity, or regions of conservation importance?:
No

A brief description of the legally protected areas, internationally recognized areas, priority sites for biodiversity, and/or regions of conservation importance:
---

Endangered and vulnerable species

Has the institution conducted an assessment to identify endangered and vulnerable species (including migratory species) with habitats on land owned or managed by the institution?:
Yes

A list of endangered and vulnerable species with habitats on land owned or managed by the institution, by level of extinction risk:
Pratt has begun a process to review and enhance biodiversity on campus.
We have reviewed the resources at Pratt NY State and NYC to identify species at risk. We have assessed the Campus for species at risk, and have not identified any species that are at risk.
We worked with a Pratt Planning class on a Feasibility Study for a Phenology Trail at Pratt.

Areas of biodiversity importance

Has the institution conducted an assessment to identify areas of biodiversity importance on land owned or managed by the institution?:
Yes

A brief description of areas of biodiversity importance on land owned or managed by the institution:
We researched species at risk in NY State, NYC and Long Island.
We surveyed the campus and have not identified any of the identified species on the campus.
We worked with a Pratt class to further asses the campus in their work on a possible Phenology Trail.

Methodologies

If yes to either of the above, provide the following:

The methodologies used to identify endangered and vulnerable species and/or areas of biodiversity importance and any ongoing assessment and monitoring mechanisms:
We researched the Pratt archives, NYS DEC website and NYC Parks to identify species at risk.
We walked the campus many times looking for species identified in the NY State and or NYC data.

A brief description of the scope of the assessment(s):
The assessment included:
- review of Pratt Library archives, NYS DEC, NYC Parks
- many campus walks looking for species on any of the lists.
We had a student class coordinate with us on a Phenology Trail, looking for effects of climate change on the campus and species at risk
3 reports to summarize the process.

A brief description of the plans or programs in place to protect or positively affect identified species, habitats, and/or ecosystems:
We cannot find threatened species.
We are currently assessing the campus habitats to see if we can:
- increase our habitat and species by plantings that will attract threatened NYS species
- develop specific habitats for threatened species and import them with a sponsor organization.
