A brief description of the institution’s GHG emissions reduction initiatives:
Pratt is working on the following initiatives to reduce GHG emissions:
- Lighting & Ctrls - all renovations and approx. 50 - 75,000 sf of lighting is being replaced with LED lighting and modern controls each year
- HVAC Controls - we are working with our service provider to reduce equipt. use time and make it run more efficiently
- we are working to reduce oil consumption by burning more nat gas
We are developing a Roadmap on how to get to 80% Carbon Neutral.
We are working to replace our Central Plant boilers with new efficient boilers.
We have engaged Burns Engineering for Design.
We are working on an electrification study to determine how to electrify the campus.
