A brief description of the institution’s green event certification program:
During the 2019-2020 academic year, Pratt's food service provider, AVI Fresh, collaborated with a number of sustainability stakeholders on campus to provide more sustainable catering options for on-campus events. In the Fall of 2019, they hosted a tasting even to showcase a fully plant-base, sustainably sourced menu in order to promote the new offerings. Additionally, they moved away from providing single-use bottled beverages to instead use large carafes with compostable cups. During the Fall and Spring Pratt Earth Action Weeks, all of the in-person events utilized the sustainable catering option. During the 2020-21 academic year, there was not catering provided due to Covid.
