Departmental Sustainability Coordinators

A brief description of the employee educators program (1st program):
Departmental Sustainability Coordinator (DSC) role is to promote sustainability in their home department, focusing on enhancing the curriculum and promoting the achievements of students and faculty. Each DSC works with their chair, curriculum committee, fellow faculty to identify opportunities and to provide resources related to sustainability.

A brief description of the employee educators program’s target audience (1st program):
A key role that the DSCs play is to act as a peer-to-peer educators and ambassador of sustainability within their department. In the 2018-2019 year there were 12 Department Sustainability Coordinators. Their target audience is other faculty within their departments and curriculum and other institute committees that they serve on.
