In 2016, Pratt established an art supply recycling initiative at Pratt Institute that collects (give) and offers (take) used art supplies, free of charge, to students. This program has taken several tons of discarded supplies out of the waste stream and back into use in Pratt studios, at the same time saving students money on their studio supplies.


A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign:

In 2017, GiveTake diverted 9095 pounds of materials from the waste stream and back into Pratt's studios. In 2018, GiveTake diverted 8900 pounds of materials from the waste stream and back into Pratt's studios.
