The Portland State University Foundation is dedicated to incorporating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria in its investment goals as a means to support Portland State University's Mission and Values, which includes Community and Civic Engagement leading to a sustainable future. One of PSUF's Investment Beliefs is responsible corporate governance, including the management of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors, can benefit long-term investors like PSUF. PSUF encourages its investment consultant to consider environmental, social and good governance as a criteria in making investments. PSUF's Investment Beliefs Statement is incorporated into its approved IPS. The Investment Committee has established a subcommittee to examine specific issues related to ESG factors in the portfolio and make recommendations to the Investment Committee as needed to enhance ESG investment goals.

The PSU Foundation Investment Committee supports whole heartedly the sustainability program and efforts at PSU. The Investment Committee and PSUF Board approved an Investment Belief Statement that includes ESG factors and this is incorporated into the approved IPS.
