Does the institution have an occupied, formally designated model room in a residence hall that is open to students during regular hours and demonstrates sustainable living principles?:
A brief description of the model room:
This project was undertaken by a freshman Inquiry class. Sustainability features have been added. These include clothes drying racks, reusable mugs, local products recycling bins, compost bins, reusable bags, green cleaners (ex: Seventh Generation, Dr. Bronners), photos of the Portland area, and bike maps of the city.
