A brief description of the event(s):
PSU hosts many events related to sustainability each year. In 2008-2009, there were at least 90 sustainability-related events on campus. For example, once a month the Office of Sustainability hosts a student sustainability forum, and once a month we have a social sustainability colloquium. We have hosted Business and Sustainability Conference, the annual Urban Ecological Research Symposium, and the Sustainability in the Humanities Conference. These are just a couple examples. Seminars are held in Environmental Science and Transportation Departments, and the Institute for Sustainable Solutions hosted weekly "Solutions Seminars" during fall term. Speakers included David Orr, Robert Costanza, Bill Becker, and more. Events are listed at the website below, and there are events nearly every day of the week.
