A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
During New Student Welcome Days, students have the opportunity to participate in a half-day introduction to the college's campuses and resources. During the New Student Welcome Day students have the opportunity to tour the campus; attend workshops on college success, resources, financial management, and student activities; and visit with faculty and staff. Sustainability staff participate in these orientations to provide information about sustainability programming and initiatives, as well as ways that students can get involved. At campuses where we have learning gardens, students are also offered the opportunity to tour the garden and learn about volunteer opportunities.
