A brief description of the program(s):
Sustainability Practices and Resources Council (SPARC) is the committee working on sustainability curriculum for the college. SPARC has sponsored trainings to encourage faculty to incorporate sustainability into their curriculum. These workshops are based on AASHE’s Ponderosa/Piedmont Projects, leading sustainability curriculum development trainings. This sustainability curriculum model draws from a cross-disciplinary approach in curricular change.

A brief description of the incentives that faculty members who participate in the program(s) receive:
Participants receive a stipend (part-time faculty) for the sustainability in curriculum training and are provided support, through SPARC, in the development of a new course, or the revision of a current course. We are also working with our Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs to prioritize professional development funding for faculty developing new courses or adding green outcomes to existing courses.
