To provide support and resources to minority groups within the student body, Pomona College staffs and runs two support centers – the Asian American Resource Center (AARC) and the Women's Union (WU). The Claremont University Consortium, of which Pomona is a part, runs three support centers open to Pomona students, staff, and faculty – the Chicano/Latino Student Affairs Center (CLSA), the Office of Black Student Affairs (OBSA), and the Queer Resource Center (QRC). The Centers seek to build community, raise awareness of issues affecting under-represented groups, and celebrate the diversity of experience within the student body.

The President has designated the Title IX Coordinator to oversee the administration of the policies outlined in the Guide including Discrimination, Harassment, and Sexual Misconduct and the grievance procedures for resolving complaints of violations of Civil Rights policies.
Pomona College seeks to maintain an environment of mutual respect among all members of its community. All forms of harassment and discrimination on the basis of sex, gender identity and expression, pregnancy, religion, creed, color, race, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, medical condition, physical or mental disability, age, marital status, veteran status, family care leave status, or any other basis described in Pomona College’s Nondiscrimination Policy or otherwise prohibited by state or federal law destroy the foundation for such respect and violate the sense of community vital to the College’s educational enterprise. Sexual misconduct offenses are a form of sexual harassment and are strictly prohibited by the College. Retaliation against a person who reports, complains about, or participates in the investigation of a complaint of discrimination, harassment, and/or sexual misconduct is likewise prohibited.
It is the responsibility of all faculty, staff and students at the College to ensure compliance with the policy. Accordingly, faculty, staff or students who believe they are being harassed or discriminated against, have observed harassment of, or discrimination against, another person at the College in violation of this policy, or believe such conduct has occurred, should immediately report the incident following the complaint reporting procedures below.
Because harassment and discrimination can also constitute violations of federal and state law (Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, and/or Section 12940 of the State of California Government Code), individuals who feel that they have been subjected to harassment or discrimination may, in addition to notifying the College by using the complaint reporting procedures in the policy.
