A brief description of the trans-fats avoidance program, policy, or practice:
Pomona College is committed to using only oils that are trans fat free. All fryer and cooking oils are trans fat free and do not contain partially-hydrogenated oils. Pomona’s commitment to trans-fat free food products extends beyond cooking oils, to all food products. We avoid partially-hydrogenated oils in all of our food products and are continually striving to phase these items out. Currently, over 95% of food items do not contain any partially hydrogenated oils.
