A brief description of the key components of the custom OHSMS:

Polytechnique has a custom OHSMS based on recognized standards and guidelines. Health and Safety Management Policy underlines the commitment of Polytechnique to seek for the continuous improvement of OHS on campus through the integration of prevention of all activities and requiring from its community that health and safety are of high importance.

Furthermore, the Health and Safety Strategic Action Plan 2020-2025 aims to improve the OHSMS in place to get closer to recognized international standards and guidelines.

The number reported represents the number of accidents related to work for the employees of Polytechnique that necessitated a work stoppage of at least one day. Those numbers are also those disclosed to the CNESST, the organization to which the Government of Quebec has entrusted the promotion of labor rights and obligations.
