Polytechnique’s Sustainable Development Orientation Commmittee (CODDEP) oversees the implementation of the sustainability approach. The CODDEP is the main body though which:
-internal stakeholders are regularly consulted;
-the implementation of Polytechnique’s Sustainable Development policy is discussed and monitored;
-the sustainability action plan is conceived and its implementation is monitored;
-the content of the annual report on sustainability is reviewed and validated.
The CODDEP is composed of about 20 people with members from the entire Polytechnique community. It includes at least one member from senior management, one department head, one service director, one faculty member, one research associate, two members from support staff, four student members from student societies (AECSP and AEP), and both sustainability advisors. An external member may sit on it as well.

A brief description of each sustainability office:

The "Bureau du développement durable" (Sustainable Development Office) coordinates the actions for sustainability at Polytechnique. The advisors act as persons of reference. They give advice on practices, guidelines, policy enforcement, regulations and procedures to integrate sustainable development within the operations, the community and the curriculum. They are in charge of the annual reporting. Since August 2016, a communications advisor has joined the team (part-time) and since April 2018, both advisors have permanent positions.
