SD Curriculum Integration Support and Collaboration Network Pilot Project

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

Launched during the Fall 2020 semester, the mandate of this pilot project is to assist and to offer support to faculty members who wish to integrate sustainable development in their courses. The support offered is tailored to the faculty members' needs. The following are some examples of integration:
- Development and proposal of information, tools;
- Organization of conferences, seminars and activities (conferences from both Polytechnique and industrial speakers, Climate Fresk);
- Review and update of the presentation material for specific courses (to add SD notions, suggestions for evaluation criteria integrating SD);
- Adaptation of educational material (PPT presentations, spreadsheet of green digital behavior encouraging students to reduce GHG emissions, case studies, etc.)
So far, the network reached 24 teachers (professors and lecturers) and impacted 29 courses among 3 certificate programs and the following engineering programs and departments:
- Software and Computer Engineering,
- Electrical Engineering,
- Civil, Geological and Mining engineering,
- Mathematics and Industrial engineering,
- Mechanical Engineering,
- Biomedical Engineering,
- Chemical Engineering.
