A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
The methodology of this indicator has been modified as of year 2020-2021 and partially automated so that the indicator is analyzed in a more objective way. It involves a search by keywords using a tool developed in Excel as well as the list of researchers linked to research groups identified as sustainable research groups.
The data comes from:
• a file received from human resources grouping the research employees who were active during the year analyzed and who were employed by Poly (associate or guest researchers are therefore not taken into account).
• A file from the IT department containing the professors as well as their research expertise and areas of research
• List of Poly researchers participating in targeted sustainable development research centres, units and chairs according to their respective websites
Sustainable development keywords are searched for in the areas of expertise and research insterests in the list of professors. This list is cross-checked with the one from human resources to ensure that they were active during the year analysed. Finally, researchers attached to research centres, units and chairs are also identified from the list of human resources to obtain the complete list of sustainable development researchers.
