Does the institution have an ongoing program that offers incentives for academic staff in multiple disciplines or departments to develop new sustainability courses and/or incorporate sustainability into existing courses? :
Yes

A brief description of the incentive program(s):

The Sustainable Development Office offers support to all professors, lecturers and temporary lecturers to integrate more sustainable development in their courses. The main focus is for undergraduate courses but graduate courses are not ruled out. The Office can propose tailored case studies, exercices or activities, a selection of speakers, specific classes or presentations on sustainability topics, and more. It started as a pilot-project with a part time resource plus the current sustainability advisors and some actions are taken to have one full-time permanent resource dedicated to this initiative.

The Bureau d’appui et d’innovation pédagogique / Pedagogical support and innovation office (BAIP) does a call for projects every year. This call for projects is open to all professors and lecturers. Selected projects need to be in line with the Strategic Plan. The 2018-2023 Strategic plan is strongly oriented towards sustability. https://www.polymtl.ca/renseignements-generaux/en/about-polytechnique, "Strategic Plan" Section.
