A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution:
A capstone project in Sustainable Development is available for undergraduate students in the 4th year of their bachelor's degree and is done over a semester, earning them 6 credits. The objective is to design a real-world sustainable building project in collaboration with students from the School of Architecture of the University of Montreal. This project is divided into two parts: teamwork and individual work. Team component: resolution of an engineering and technical design problem from a sustainable development perspective. Work in a mixed team, open to all engineering programs, supervised by a multidisciplinary technical team. Consideration in the design of the impacts of the proposed solutions on the environment, society and the economy. Individual component: development of individual expertise in sustainable development. This skill is transferable to the team project and linked to the interests and training of the student.
