Every fall, a cultural workshop is made available for international students to help them with their integration in Quebec (it includes advice for their student life on campus, life in Montreal and in Canada in general).

Since 2017, Polytechnique has a Diversity and Equity committee composed of professors, managers and HR advisors to work on ways of attracting more women, visible minorities and persons with disabilities among faculty members, particularly among the research centers and chairs. An action plan was adopted in 2017 to set targets for the Canada Research Chairs.
