The entire campus community (students, staff and faculty), directly or by representative sample

A brief description of how and when the cultural assessment(s) were developed and/or adopted:

Following the deployment of the pre-test in various first year courses, the Sustainability Office wanted to also assess the sustainability culture, in general, of the entire community. Since every year there is a 12-day Sustainability Event in March, it was decided that in 2019, a quizz would be sent to all. The quizz was available for two weeks, and reminders were sent through the following weekly newsletter.

The quizz consists in ten multiple choices questions. The questions are a mix of sustainability culture in general and sustainability on the campus. The following are a few sample questions:
- Which sector do you believe to be responsible for the most greenhouse gas emissions in Quebec?
- Name an international movement aimed at promoting the benefits of vegetarian food, in which the cafeteria of Polytechnique participates.
-You must travel alone from Montreal to Toronto (approximately 550 km) for a conference. Which of the following means of transportation has the largest carbon footprint? (list of options)
- At Polytechnique, where can I get rid of my used tea bags? (list of disposal options)

A brief description of how representative samples were reached (if applicable) and how the cultural assessment is administered:

During the winter of 2019, during the Sustainability event, a quizz was sent to the entire community via the various newsletters. Students and employees were invited to take this 10 question quizz and assess their level of sustainability culture.

A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment, including a description of any measurable changes over time:

The quizz attracted over 150 participants and the average grade was 7.57/10. 145 participants correctly named the three spheres of sustainable development.
