A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:
Green Bike Program: a Pitzer College student-run organization which promotes cycling, bike safety and sustainability at The Claremont Colleges and the surrounding community. This is done through the reuse of old bikes and parts along with the organization of cycling events. The Green Bike Program gives community members free access to bicycles, tools, repair lessons.

On campus Pitzer College has 2 on-site parking spots dedicated for ZipCars car sharing. The ZipCars are checked out by the students and used to go into nearby downtown, or to the nearby Claremont College Apartments, or regionally. We also have 5 vans that can be checked out for vanpooling by students, faculty and staff.

We have 9 electric vehicle charging stations at the center of campus that are available to all faculty, staff and students. To further the incentive, the 9 charging stations are free of cost.

Pitzer now has 9 electric vehicle recharging stations that are available to all students, faculty, staff, and visitors at no charge. The stations are located in the center of campus to increase access.

Faculty Housing Loan Policy: home mortgage loans offered at 2% below the current market rate in Claremont for homes purchased within a 10-mile radius of the campus for faculty members appointed to full-time tenure-track positions. Loan maximum is $25,000; second trust deed loans (including present principal balances of existing first trust deed) will not exceed 95% of the value of the property.

Pitzer offers a free bus travel and Metrolink travel to all staff and students.
Students, faculty and staff can also call the Claremont dial a ride shuttle and coupons are provided for free service. In additional, Pitzer has a shuttle bus that makes a loop locally to bring students to downtown and the nearby Claremont College apartments. The shuttle bus is is a Certified Green Carrier from the University of Vermont's sustainability program. The vehicles we are CARB (California Air Resources Board) Compliant.
