Approved in 2021, the Penn State Environmental Sustainability Fund enables University Park campus organizations and offices to request funding for on-campus sustainability efforts. $250,000 a year have been allocated to the fund.

The Environment Sustainability Subcommittee takes sustainability-related project proposals each year by mid-December. Projects applying for funding must have the support of a university office or department which has the ability to operationalize it.
