A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
In 2022, Penn State overhauled its employee orientation program and specifically included sustainability and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging into its toolkit for new employees. Penn State, in partnership with LinkedIn Learning and Skillsoft, offers a large library of online courses for employees to explore.

There are hundreds of sustainability-related courses available to new and existing employees through our Learning Resource Network. This cover topics such as: BUILD (Broadening Understanding and Inclusion through Learning & Dialogue); critical thinking; controlling conflict; Equality, Equity, and Social Justice; Digitizing Products for Sustainability's Sake; Tech and Sustainability: Building a Sustainability Action Report; Sustainability Strategies; Learning Design for Sustainability; Business and Sustainability; Sustainability for Design, Construction, and Manufacturing; Bridge the Gender Gap as a Manager; and Climate Adaptation and the Cost of Inaction.

In addition, in early 2023, Penn State Sustainability developed a one-hour course introducing all employees to sustainability at Penn State.
