Penn State Student Affairs oversees a wide variety of health and wellness programs for students. In addition to medical services through University Health Services, it offers resources for Mental Health & Wellness, Recreation & Leisure, Healthy Living, Health Insurance, Alcohol & Drug Education & Recovery, and Victim & Survivor Support & Advocacy. Penn State's Human Resources Office coordinates Health Initiatives for faculty and staff. These include:
- An Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a free, confidential employee and family resource to be used as a first line of defense for personal or work-related concerns for employees and their families.
- A Weight Watchers program
- An on-campus Employee Health and Wellness Center
- Free flu vaccines
- Campus Recreation memberships are available to all University Park faculty, staff, and retirees as well as their spouses/partners.
