What is the institution’s current bicycle friendly award level? :
Silver

A brief description of the institution’s bicycle program, including the year the award was achieved and/or renewed:

The League of American Bicyclists recognized Penn State University Park as a bronze level Bicycle Friendly University (BFU) in 2012, and as a silver level BFU in 2016. The Bicycle Friendly University status is a result of Penn State’s Bicycle Master Plan, which includes widening streets, expanding bike access on campus, offering bicycle registration online, and adding climbing lanes. To achieve silver status Penn State completed additional bicycle-friendly projects, including installation of bicycle repair stations and additional bicycle travel lanes, as well as increased covered bicycle parking, and developing bicycle education programs. http://news.psu.edu/story/439418/2016/11/29/campus-life/penn-state-named-silver-bicycle-friendly-university
