The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) club at Penn State Behrend construct vehicles that employ innovative technologies to reduce greenhouse emissions and petroleum consumption while maintaining consumer acceptability and usability.
During the AY 2018-2019 the Behrend team won the SAE International Supermileage Challenge, traveling 2,420 miles on a single gallon of gas. The team also won the event in the prior AY.
