A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory (including the types of faculty and staff included as researchers):
All full-time and full-time term faculty were included in our Research Inventory. The college compiles a report of faculty research and scholarship (Published Articles, Book Chapters, Grants Awarded, etc) annually in a report entitled "A Selection of Faculty Works 2018/19". Faculty are asked to self report on their research/scholarship achievements. The Assistant Provost and the Colleges Sustainability Coordinator evaluated the criteria provided by STARS for "Sustainability Research and Scholarship" and determined which faculty Research/Scholarship met the criteria. Those faculty were then included in the attached "Sustainability Research Inventory". The total number of faculty engaged in research was determined by evaluating Faculty Statements of Mutual Expectations (SME) which are submitted to the Provost by each full time faculty member in September. In addition to full time faculty, staff who are employed in the Adirondack Watershed Institute were also included in the 2018/19 assessment.
