Pacific University supports the comprehensive wellbeing of our employees with the Employee Assistance Program through Cascade Centers. This confidential service helps you access free wellness and counseling resources to support you and your family through psychological problems, marriage difficulties, problems with children, financial struggles, coping with the stress of an illness in the family, and alcohol- or drug-related problems.

The EAP also has health coaches who can help you approach personal wellness goals, like quitting tobacco or losing weight. And, their free online resources include personal wellness evaluations, goal-setting support, and even legal resources, such as an interactive online will program.

An important factor of employee wellness is employee health. As such, Pacific University employees have free use of the Stoller Center, Holce Tennis Courts and the Lincoln Park Athletic Complex with a Pacific ID. Also, Faculty and staff also are welcome to take part in free fitness classes and intramural competitions, such as yoga and Zumba classes or intramural basketball leagues. Lastly, each spring, students in the exercise science program at Pacific also offer Boxer Boot Camp, a one-on-one personal training service open to faculty and staff.

For students, Pacific has an office of Campus Wellness that offers many services and puts on many programs. Services include: healthy relationship promotion, harm reduction around drugs and alcohol, positive body image programs, stress management, confidential advocacy for survivors of interpersonal violence, consultations for students struggling with alcohol and other substances.

For students, Pacific also has a Student Counseling Center that provides a range of services focused on the mental health needs of Pacific students. The SCC strives to support students in reaching their academic potential by focusing on intellectual, emotional, social and cultural development. Currently enrolled students are eligible for counseling services. Up to 10 sessions per year (July-June) are subsidized by tuition, and are provided at no additional cost. Extended service fees (>10 sessions per year) are $15 per session.
