A brief description of how the institution ensures that its lowest-paid workers (including contractors, if applicable) receive sustainable compensation:
Pacific University participates in a number of compensation surveys which are the basis for conducting comparability studies to ensure our employees are earning a sustainable base wage. Once that is considered the University examines, annually, the benefits provided to the employees and the amount the individual has to pay for those benefits to ensure it is reasonable and benchmark our benefit costs to other universities and non universities of similar size employment base.
The University also strives to enhance all faculty and staff total compensation by providing 9% (no match required) toward retirement and tuition remission to all employees with appropriate years of service and their dependents.
We review the total compensation of every employee on an annual basis.
