A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:

Pacific University English professor Darlene Pagan, started Garments To Go after witnessing her First Year Seminar students struggle to find suitable clothes to wear to the class’s accompanying formal events. The program offers students, campus employees and alumni the opportunity to borrow professional clothing for any situation that requires dress wear.

GARMENTS TO GO accepts donations of clean, gently used business and evening wear for men and women, including dress shoes, ties and other accessories.

The project is a sustainable practice allowing people to use existing resources instead of buying new things.
