Federal Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)
Eligibility: At least half-time students. Must have completed a high school curriculum deemed to be academically rigorous by the U.S. Department of Education. Eligibility limited to Federal Pell Grant recipients in their first or second year of study. Second year grant requires 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Amounts: For first year students (0- 29 cumulative credits), $750 annually or $375 per semester. For second year students (30 - 59 cumulative credits), $1300 annually or $650 per semester, prorated for less than full time enrollment.

Federal National SMART Grant (Science & Math Access to Retain Talent)
Eligibility: At least half-time students. Eligibility is limited to Federal Pell Grant recipients in their third or fourth year of study. To qualify, students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and be registered in coursework and declared a major that has been selected as

SMART Grant eligible by the U.S. Department of Education (generally natural sciences, math, and foreign languages)..
Amounts: $2000 per semester, $4,000 per year, prorated for less than full time enrollment.
Comments or Conditions: For each semester the grant is received, student must be enrolled in a course required by its designated major. This federal program is currently scheduled to expire after the 2010-11 academic year.
