A brief description of the event(s):
PLU is the host of the 2010 South Sound Sustainability Summit and Expo. This is an event that includes all south sound colleges and some local high schools in a weekend of sustainability break out discussion groups as well as a day to meet green vendors and hear green speakers, with the intention of connecting students with organizations and the hope of creating long term change.
PLU also holds periodic campaigns and monthly events. These range from movie viewings and discussions to Recycle Mania and bringing TruRecycle electronic waste company to campus, and various programs to encourage students to purchase re-usable water bottles, and take the lids off their bottles before recycling them.
