A brief description of the program:
On our Pleasantville campus, we have started to recycle the moving cartons to be reused at the end of the semester for moving out. This was a student club initiative which was completely run by the students.
Students also piloted a "Trash to Treasure" program in 2010 where by move out items are collected, then sold at deep discount to incoming students in the fall - thus reducing purchasing needs and waste for incoming students.
