There are two ways in which Pace has included sustainability in the new student orientation: in Pleasantville, Pace's Naturalist does a presentation on animals and the environment. On both the NYC and Pleasantville campuses last year, we featured our common reading, Unbowed, by Dr. Wangari Maathai, world renowned environmentalist and Nobel Peace Prize winner. All incoming students were required to read this book. However, this past year we did not feature a common reading with an environmental theme. We do intend, moving foward, to include these themes, but cannot get credit right now for this.
