Yes
A brief description of the certificate program(s):
The Professional and Continuing Education Department offers the Permaculture Design Certification Online.
The certificate focuses on Permaculture design, which is a whole-systems design approach to developing sustainable human settlements and institutions. Rooted in horticulture and agriculture, permaculture design also touches on regional planning, ecology, animal husbandry, technology, architecture and international development.
OSU offers the standard Permaculture Design Certificate course (PDC) that follows the internationally recognized PDC curriculum. Over time, it was recognized the need for more professional level training. Now OSU offers an expanded version of the traditional Permaculture Design course: the PDC Pro. This program offers additional content, individualized mentorship and consultation on class design projects.
This Permaculture Design Certificate is certified by the Permaculture Institute of North America.
