A brief description of the sustainable operations and maintenance policy/program and/or O+M rating system(s) used:
In accordance with the Carbon Commitment and other best practice management efforts, energy and water use for all university operations are monitored at the building level, or in some cases at a much greater level of detail. The Sustainability Office manages and tracks data for energy use at all OSU facilities and maintains Energy Use Index data for management purposes. This tool tracks historical EUI across both natural gas and electricity. Water consumption is also tracked but not part of the EUI calculation.

The majority of OSU facilities are managed with specific indoor air quality (IAQ) management protocols, with a particular focus on lab, kitchen and similar spaces.
Green cleaning policies and practices are employed at approximately 95% of university spaces.
