Part 1. Greenhouse gas emissions inventory
Yes
A copy of the most recent GHG emissions inventory:
A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory:
Oregon State University uses the SIMAP Carbon Calculator. In order to account for and differentiate between all emissions of OSU’s operations across the state, OSU's GHG emissions report is comprised of four different inventories: Corvallis Campus, OSU-Cascades, Hatfield Marine Science Center (HMSC), and The Statewide Public Services, or “Statewides”. All these locations are considered vital facets of the university. Due to the different characteristics of each site, it is not possible to create one calculator for all operations. Therefore, 4 different calculators are created, and the summary table of each one of the 4 calculators is presented in the file attached.
Has the GHG emissions inventory been validated internally by personnel who are independent of the GHG accounting and reporting process and/or verified by an independent, external third party?:
No

A brief description of how the institution accounted for its Scope 3 emissions:
Business travel information was provided by the Travel & Expense Office. Categories included in business travel are: private auto mileage, car rental, and air mileage.
Commuting information was provided by Transportation Services. Each year Transportation Services sends out a survey to determine modal splits.
Fuel and energy related activities corresponds to electricity transmission losses.
